A while ago I was involved in a Kickstarter project where a bunch of New Yorkers got together to make their own book. It was a fun experience, and now I've noticed a much more worthy project for your attention.

Designing Obama is to be a book that chronicles the graphic art created by both professional artists and grassroots campaigners in their attempt to elect the President, co-ordinated by the Design Director of the Obama Campaign. 350 color pages, hardbound limited edition, $50. A great keepsake to pass down to your kids, or just a cool Christmas gift.

Despite giving us arguably the world's worst car, French engineers have a set of balls bigger than that asteroid from Armageddon. Don't believe me? Check out the Millau Viaduct. For further evidence, watch the video above which captures some amazing waves crashing into various lighthouses near the Brittany section of France. This is the section made famous by a series of photographs taken by Jean Guichard. Not only is it amazing that these structures can stand the relentless pounding they take (not unlike your mother), but workers had to get out to these rocks and build the damn things.

Adam mocks my Tibetan skull necklace that I purchased from an old refugee at a Greenwich Village street-fair. Why he would mock the poor and oppressed people of Tibet is beyond me. It's a beautiful culture. Not cool. Free Tibet Echowood!

We live in a cynical world. I am as guilty of it as anyone. That is why a story like this matters so much. We need them more than ever. This tale is one of the most inspirational you'll ever hear.

There are a couple reasons this story hit me. I do love sport. The thrill of competition and the agony of defeat. My Dad is a cancer survivor. I had a close friend survive testicular cancer. The kids in this story, all of them, are commendable. They are miraculous. I'm not embarrassed at all to tell you, my friends, that this video made me cry.

Forget your onions about Keith Olbermann as a commentator. He's inconsequential.

Howie is a man who lives a double life.

During the week he's dedicated to the noble cause of cancer research.
But on the weekends he's devoted another passion: producing porn.

Howie (not his real name) moonlights as a Production Assistant for porn films.
