Last night, the women gave us their last musical attempt to get into the Top 12. Tonight, the men do the same. Will they stand and deliver? Or will the sleep-fest by the women sound light and lively by comparison?

The good news is that Crystal Bowersox is feeling a lot better. However, 2 of the women, 48 hours from now, are going to be quite ill. Will it be Crystal (doubtful) or some other ladies?

Will the women be better than the guys this week? Will the women be better than how they were last week? Will Crystal Bowersox be able to sing? How will she sound? Will Haterade actually get anything right this season?

Tuesday's episode featured the top 12 ladies, which was an average episode featuring some decent performances, some nerves, and a bunch of train wrecks. Now the judges have insisted this year that the ladies are better than the guys. So after this episode, the mentality will either be that 1. The judges are completely wrong and they were just saying it to try to manufacture a female winner or 2. The judges were right and I just spent 2 hours of my life having as much fun as Conan O'Brien at a Jay Leno family reunion.

Welcome to Haterade's first Idol Anal-ysis of 2010, where he anal-yzes on the ladies first performance of the year. Who was good? Who was generic? And which 2 people may be taking a slow boat to nowhere?

10 More acts go up to perform for your pleasure. 5, 4, or whatever number of acts that the judges feel like putting in get through to the Finals. Haterade was a perfect 5 for 5 last week. Let's see if he can repeat the feat this week.

So we've seen our 48 acts (which are now down to 20) and our first group of 10 semi-finalists are here to wow us. They have all learned from their first time on the show and are ready to step up their game today, right? RIGHT? We'll see about that...

So the first 2 weeks of performances have been somewhat less than awe-inspiring. Will this week be any better? Or by the end of the episode will we be pining for Boy Britney and Leonid the Magnificent?

You think you're done with me this Summer? Not a chance...er...Hey! Welcome to the Summer Show of Musical hits and misses. This is once again Gordon 'Haterade' Pepper, who will be reviewing The Summer's version of American Idol meets Gong Show.

My brother was picked off a mountain in Switzerland via helicopter after he was jumping off cliffs and blew out his ACL. He then spent the rest of the trip sliding down the slopes on a lunch tray. My mother went on safari in Mozambique and speaks animatedly about how she blew a hole in the side of a water-buffalo with a shotgun while hanging out of a Jeep. My father served several tours of duty in Vietnam - enough said. So I'm what is now known as simply the family pussy. The guy who is too busy suffering through an allergy attack to go whitewater rafting. The man who'd get hit with a pitch in little league and walk off the field crying into his helmet.

I had my chance at redemption this weekend, and I decided to take it.

 Truth that kids never pay attention to adults.  This may be a tough one for the Loyal 77 (I like to push your comedy sometimes).....feel free to discuss and come up with a group caption if one person can't nail it.
