...but after seeing Letters from Iwo Jima, I can safely say it would be a crime if this flick doesn't get Best Picture and Clint get Best Director. If you haven't seen it, it's basically a masterpiece. The kind of film you refer back to when you're talking about great films in the history of friggin' films. The kind of film that's gives you a new perspective. The kind of film you wish everybody would watch. Basically what I'm saying is, I liked it. You should see it.

PS: Here's our resident film critic giving it the major thumbs up about a month and a haf ago...takes me a while to get caught up.

PPS: By the way, what's with Clint. He goes through life being the awesome badass, then makes movies like Every Which Way but Loose, then turns ino this cinema genius in his seventies...I don't get it.

- You know those deep, introspective spam comments we've been getting? Well, they recruit on Craigslist.
- Over the years, I've found just a few hundred things I disagree with Gawker on, but this, we have in common.
- So it wasn't just a few fun-loving girls behind the bridezilla video, but a certain haircare brand was involved as well.
- Sure, there are downsides to living in New York. $2,500 studio apartments and a subway foot licker to start.
- But...there are quite a few benefits, as well. Sue Simmons' yearly groundhog impression comes to mind.

Overheard some people talking about this at work yesterday. A video that made the rounds recently (I dont know, we may have even posted it here) that turned out to be fake...go figure.

Apparently, Diane Sawyer had the ladies on Good Morning America, and was taken aback by the unwillingness of the actors to appear apologetic for putting a fake video of the web. (Remember that generation gap thing I was talking about?) Kinda funny...the video's ok, too.

Just curious...what would the general reaction be if some crazy fucker DID place a bunch of lite brites around a city and they DID have explosives inside. And these cute little black boxes DID explode because everyone thought they were just cute ads for a cable tv show. Don't be a asshole, no one's doing anything like that. Now can I have my shoes back? My flight leaves in five minutes.

This is one of the many predictable posts on the web that condemns the city officials for, I guess, not being caught up on their cartoon network viewing. (although I agree that at this point, Boston should just let it go) And this is a post that speaks to the growing generation gap in mass media. One that ad agencies are well aware of. Like the old saying goes...you couldn't buy this kind of press.
