Welcome to Adventure Country

ADCT.jpg

Adventure Country is a new site that combines a fun, explorable 3D world with some cool Facebook-connect video technology that puts yourself at the center of a video adventure. How do I know all this? Well, it built it!

Of course, when I say "I", I actually mean myself and a whole team of people, including a comedy troupe based in NYC that lent their improv acting skills to the video sequences, and scripts written by Echowood and myself. It's something I poured my life into the last few months, and it's good to see it finally launch.

There's a ton of stuff to enjoy on the site, including some rescue animations (click the campfire for an "Easter Egg" sequence), the video sequences (make sure you log into it with Facebook-Connect - it's really fun), and of course a couple of trailers for the two upcoming CMT reality shows it's been designed to promote - Gator 911 - which follows a team in Texas who rescue wild alligators with essentially their bare hands, and Danger Coast - which actually stars one of Echowood's buddies, believe it or not - and which features a Marine Rescue team based in Miami.

It's part of a bigger program that saw some bloggers receive custom action figure (including someone else you might recognize) and events at malls that let people dress up as Adventure Heroes.

I'm really proud of it, and I'd love to hear comments. iPlease share it with your buddies (we want as many people to see it as possible) and here's where you can Digg, Buzz or Reddit it.

Now go have an Adventure :)

Thanks so much for the "action figure" (doll)! I am now a hero to my three young daughters, and my husband thinks I'm someone important or something. It was a complete surprise.

Now that this thing is live, does this mean you're finally coming home? ;)

Awesome work, Steve!

Gator 911 is actually filmed in the area where I live. I've been to Gator Country a few times, and seen Big Al. I think he's around 1000 lbs. I wonder if he'll be in the show?
