I know the feeling. I almost literally gave away 25 years of collections, mostly media, books, my GI Joes etc. when I immigrated to Australia ten years ago. It was liberating at the time but I can't say I don't regret it sometimes.
I also sold my collection of 7" vinyl (300 odd). That Soft Cell track you reference to was on one of them.
i know it's probably the Soft Cell version of "Memorabilia", but I'm just gonna pretend it's the remake by Nine Inch Nails for the sake of bad-assitude.
