A few days ago we reported on AccuWeather's insane Winter storm map descriptions.
Yesterday, local Baltimore meteorologist Jim Kosek took a page from Jim Cornette and gave the storm an even more insane name: Snowpocalypse!!!!!
The Baltimore/DC are did get dumped on and there were closures, flight cancellations, etc. but I doubt anyone there would call it Snowpocalypse.

Sorry, but here around Chicago we refer this type of thing Thursday. Frankly we laugh and mock at this sort freaking out that places that don't get a foot of snow every other week do. It's hilarious we mock the weaklings. While, D.C. residents are making a run on the store for bread and milk when we get that type of snow we cuss, get up five minutes earlier and ponder if there will mire then six inches of snow because then we'll have to bring out the snow blower. The only people more hard core when it comes to snow are residents of Fargo, Alaska, Canada, and Siberia.
Best twitter hashtag I saw was #SnOMG
We live about 5 minutes from Baltimore Washington airport, readings from there say we got 26.5" in about 24 hours.
Here's the thing, we had 15" in December and most area residents on Facebook were calling it Snowpocalypse and Snowmageddon then, not because it was all that bad but because people were freaking out like it was the end of the world. This Snowpocalypse thing is not new, idiot college students and twenty-somethings were throwing that around 2 months ago.
