Jon McNaughton would like to set the record straight. The founding fathers believed in God.
They were very religious men and women, despite the fact that they believed in separation of church and state.
That's why Jesus is holding the Constitution and is backed by past American heroes.
The Minister, US soldier, Mother and small child bask in the glory. (screen left)
And the College Professor, Mr. Hollywood, Politician and Satan hide their heads in shame and false pride. (screen right)
Well that's one point of view anyway.

That. Is. Epic.
So much stupid condensed and distilled into a single piece of artwork. This thing should be locked away in a secret vault that is itself locked away inside a secret vault that is buried under a mountain. It's just too powerful.
No comment on the prev. post, only on the painting.
My appreciation of the painting comes from my understanding of the divine principle of freedom and free agency or our right to choose. How can we be properly judged of God if we are not free to make our choices. The Constitution was crafted to reinforce our divine right of freedom of choice. I believe it was inspired of God and upheld by Christ.
What has been done to it today compared to what it offered freedom seeking people when it was created. We don't even study it's principles in public school. The painting inspires me in the cause of protecting the divine right of freedom.
