President Obama just finished his speech to American students. And, as you'll see, it was all the things his critics feared.
The current President urged students to stay in school, get an education, do their homework, pay attention, focus, and don't spend every waking moment in front of the TV or XBox.
Wait, it gets worse.
He also said, "Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I do that every day. Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength."
That's subversive, socialist brain washing right there. We all know seeking help is a sign of weakness. And everyone knows you to look to Jesus for strength.
The outrage from Republicans and scared parents was certainly justified.
Just as it wasn't when President Reagan gave his speech to students in 1988 and President Bush gave his in 1991.

According to Glenn Beck, if you play the speech backwards, it says "Socialism Rocks! Quit school and go on welfare! Heil Hitler! Praise Allah!"
But is our children learning?
well we obviously know where you stand
"The outrage from Republicans and scared parents was ...."
Uniquely identified because clearly there is no cross-section there.
Careful, BMan, your Mondale underbritches are showin'.
(It's all in love, man.)
Well Tim, not all the parents were Republicans - some were homeschooled liberals who are scared to send their kids to public school...and therefore qualify.
Actually, I was merely pointing out that there is no such thing as a Republican scared parent .... thereby corroborating your need to uniquely identify the two groups.
I was just giving 'ya another virtual noogie my good man .... carry on.
How about "republican parents scared of Obama". Surely there are plenty in that category.
Just beating a dead horse.
What are they scared of? That the President might be giving better advice then they can.
When did a inspirational speech become subversive socialist brainwashing?
Kaos1313: Since January 20th, 2009.
Yes, that's right Kaos, just 17 minutes in front of Obama talking about something as innocuous-on-the-surface as "staying in school" can completely obliterate 5-17 years of parenting. That is the "Power of O." My daughter watched it, turned to me and said "Daddy, when I grow up I want to be a Socialist!"
And yes, unlike the Inaugural address, which was broadcast to many schools and was all about Obama's "agenda," (which for some reason did not raise the same howls of protest) this was targeted at a specific audience: the children! Gasp!
Of course you talk to the Partisan Conservatives and they will say that, since they caught him red-handed he completely changed his speech from one of pure socialist indoctrination to one that had a "stay in school" message on top of the more subversive subliminal socialist indoctrination message. But it's good that folks kept their kids at home, because that "Socialist Smile" of his IS intoxicating...
Good luck in the future Dan! I'm moving to Russia.
They're lucky I wasn't giving a speech to the kids -
"Listen, I've been in the work force for a long time. 90% of what they teach you in school is a complete waste of time. I had a French teacher who told me that learning a foreign language is the most important thing you can do. Bull-shit! I have yet to go to France and I took two years of the stuff. Just take the easiest classes you can. College is better cause you can skip classes, do beer bongs and it's a great place to get some ass."
Okay E, but that's tell them what they already know from MTV and the CW.
"Furthermore, when you are first experimenting with weed, use a bong. Get your tunes all lined up. Maybe get a dvd out. (I especially like Scream I). Load up the bong, then, and only then (!), light up. Rolling joints is way harder than it looks, *especially* when you're high. Don't let any of your peers tell you different."
