Glenn Beck's Spelling Makes Me Sad
Even on its own, without the gaff, this attempt at an object lesson would be pretty ridiculous. Professor Ludwig Von Beck steps up the the blackboard and tries to take letters from various and forced phrases to "spell" out the word "oligarch." Referring to a member of an oligarchy, a form of government that is run by a small group of elite society.

Glenn wants to use "oligarch" to draw comparisons from elitist government and President Barry Obama's administration. Okay, that's fine, I'll give him credit for the historical reference and an obscure word. The problem? Blackboards and chalk don't have spellcheck.

Damn. So close. There's a "C" in there pally. Professor Beck has since spun the error as intentional, saying he left of the "C" for "czars." See? It was on purpose. He had a plan for that all along. Hopefully Scripps National Spelling Bee doesn't advertise on the show or Glenn could lose another sponsor.

Glen DID do that on purpose. To say anything about his spelling is to out yourself as an elitist. They know who you are now. Can't have any book learning in the coming post-Obama society.

(Does anybody really watch that show? It's very uncomfortable watching a man squirm for a few minutes of YouTube, let alone a full episode.)

What a doofus. The only questions he wants people to ask are the ones that support his agenda. We've already seen what he does to people who ask questions he's not interested in hearing.. calls them pinheads and hangs up on them.

To be fair Cindy, that was Bill O'Reilly. but Beck's a bit of a schmuck too.

Play him off keyboard cat!

"Questions" are the ones that end with these things, right:

Which is nothing new JW. Sadly.

Seriously? You make a mistake in the third word of your post -- the one complaining about Beck's talent with English? Seriously?? Now THAT's funny material.

said 4BP on September 1, 2009 7:16 PM.

See what happened was, there was an apostrophe added in another post from two days ago. I meant to carry it over to this one. It's not a typo, I did that on purpose.

What, Professor Beck's logic doesn't work for me?

said Johnny Wright on September 1, 2009 7:48 PM.

If I could just jump in here for a second 4BP. Our purpose at YBNBY is to make dick and fart jokes, post dumb videos, and search the web for nip slips. Our research and grammatical error detection teams consist of a half-eaten Cheeto and an office rat we've named "Mr. Chompers." In other words, we aren't in the business of being accurate. We're in the business of being stupidly funny.

Mr. Beck appears to be in the business of being funnily stupid. Not only did he make a mistake, but that mistake had to go through several people before making it to air. Further, his explanation had no coherence whatsoever. Instead of just laughing it off, Beck used the opportunity to attack the "liberal blogs" that pointed out his error. He had one chance to make himself look stupid and turned it into too.

Now, let's get back to inventing nasty rumors about Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh. Thank you for your time.

The half-Cheeto and Mr Chompers would appreciate Johnny having made multiple errors in his post, toward a greater understanding of parody.

Mr Beck, to me, appears to be more in the business of a public melt-down. What's puzzling to me is that in this age of the 24-hour news cycle and the "permanent political campaign," is that he hasn't been dissected and tossed aside in favor of the next skew-able event.

I can't imagine that Johnnys insipid' mistak'e will reach the hallowed Halles of Fox (is that from where he broadcasts?) but it's still funny nonetheless. I don't plan to leave it lie. Until he posts again without mistakes.

You misspelled tim'e as "time."

If Mr Chompers eats one more bag of my Skittles I'm flushing him. I've had it.

said Johnny Wright on September 1, 2009 9:44 PM.

no, beck called a lady pinhead, than shrieked "GET OFF MY PHONE" in a frustrated falsetto, look it up, its funny. i dont think beck knows what an oligarch is, how does being an internationalist revolutionary make him part of an oligarhy? (ha)

Yo! The real point is that companies that run the current insurance biz have CEOs making 100's of millions of bucks. That's olicharky however you want to spell it. And socialism is supposed to be worse? Least we can vote on those mofos.
