When I worked at my old ad agency, I had a young designer work for me, who was a pretty good flash animator. Then he told me he was quitting to go to college to study Dreamworks-style Computer Generated Animation. I remember thinking at the time "why would he give up a perfectly good paid job as a flash designer to pursue some pipe dream of working in movies?'
So naturally, now he's part of the Dreamworks animation team, worked on Kung Fu Panda, and is now putting out his own shorts that win rave reviews on BoingBoing.
There's a moral here, and it's probably that you should never listen to my advice.

Great animation!
And brings me recollections from my the office I worked. I felt just like him, though I've never broken my boss' stereo. But I made him suffer a lot with rammstein.
