I haven't heard anyone called "yellow" meaning cowardly in many years. As I read this (I saw the video earlier) I turned to my Chinese daughter and said, "If someone called you yellow, what would that mean to you?"
Her answer: "That I'm not white."
"Have you ever heard someone being called yellow and mean that they are afraid or cowardly?"
"No. (pause) I've been called yellow before, but it's because I'm Asian."
Ha. Hahaha.
