Item! In Turkey, a factory built in 1928 was gonna be knocked down to clear the path for a new shopping mall. Sounds reasonable. The good people of Turkey need a Baby Gap and Hot Dog on a Stick just like the rest of us.
However, it seems the demolition crew was hired because of a low bid. Not exactly a crack unit. Perhaps they took one too many coffee breaks. What is supposed to happen is the charges go off in perfectly timed sequence the the building falls in on itself. Like the Kingdome. In this attempt, some of the charges went off, apparently some didn't, and wouldn't you know it, that sumbitch rolled over like a lazy dog in the noonday sun.
It looks like a scene from a Roland Emmerich film.

D'oh!
Just imagine the people who live in the surrounding buildings shitting bricks as they saw the rolling wrecked ruins coming right for them...
And ever since, in the jargon of demolition this became known as the Turkey roll.
Don't be too hard on these guys, they just missed 1 day at demolition college, sadly it was the day the ran the Demolition Simulator:

What's wrong somehow, Tincase... as I see, the fallen building should have made 3 strikes in a row to earn this right.
In this video we can see that the building went down the gutter and scored none.
Tincase just coined "Turkey roll." Brilliant. Somebody go update Urban Dictionary.
I now concede that the professions of bowling and demolition are too closely related to support an independent jargon.
Nice...
turkey roll is brilliant. nice tincase.
it's hard to believe that building was built in '28. those turks sure know how to stack their straw and shit.
They actually use shit? Wow, we are so behind on construction here. (pardon the pun)
