The Party People

I've been attempting to write this entry for the past hour and I can't do it. I can't be clever nor insightful. The fact of the matter is, I'm hungover. Severely hungover. To the point that my body is outgassing constantly and everything is bothering me. It's too hot outside, but too cold in my apartment. There's nothing good on television. Why won't Kelly Ripa return my phone calls? I might still be drunk.

Last night was the second consecutive night of partying. The fine people at Nespresso and Sur La Table unveiled Nespresso's new CitiZ espresso brewer at the party and, unfortunately for me, had an open bar. Free is free, and I'll take full advantage of that. Sadly, I forgot that today is Friday and I have to be at work. What's worse is I have more plans to drink tonight and for most of the day tomorrow.

Is admitting you have a problem the first step or the last step? Anyone have good hangover remedies?

To me, preventing hangovers is all in the preparation, not the aftermath. Eating a decent meal is important but of paramount significance is to hydrate. You should remember this from our rowing days Echo. Drinking lots of water before you venture out always works for me. Also if you are still able to control your motor functions by the end of the night, some water before you go to bed is a good idea as well. Hangovers are mainly caused because alcohol dehydrates you, it's science. If you forget to take precaution (which I sometimes do) I find a greasy breakfast (Bojangles ftw) and some Gatorade/Powerade do the trick.

BTW- I don't care how many tweets you have in the last 24 hours get this red tag off the side of my screen ahhhhhhhh.
