What if Ghostbusters was originally filmed in 1954? What if Peter Venkman were played by Bob Hope? These and other questions (paranormal or otherwise) are answered in this thorough and detailed trailer.

Forgive me if I'm getting this wrong, because the filter on my current connection is blocking the video. Hope did a movie called "The Ghost Breakers" in 1940, that got some play around the time "Ghostbusters" came out. That, in turn, followed on "The Cat and The Canary", the gold standard in the "old, dark house comedy" category.
You have to think through this. Before Hope ossified into an institution, he got the type of role that Bill Murray does/did - the guy who has a wisecrack for every situation.
Damn Echo... I was just going to post it on the tweetboard.
Awesome. Great find Echo. I actually own the original Ghost Breakers on DVD. It's hilarious.
