People who have anything at all to do with the music business, from a minimum wage disc jockey to a record company president, all have one thing in common: people want you to listen to their songs. It goes on constantly. Now it turns out that even serving time for murder doesn't get you away from wannabe stars.

Legendary music producer Phil Spector is serving a life sentence (for the murder of Lana Clarkson) at Corcoran State Prison in California. Charles Manson, also serving a life sentence, is living at the same prison. Manson has let it be known that he would like to meet with Spector, so they can spend some time writing songs together.

Convicted cult leader Charles Manson has reached out to convicted music producer Phil Spector, suggesting that the two jailbirds collaborate on pop songs. Both men are serving life sentences in central California's Corcoran State Prison.

Manson contacted Spector shortly after the producer arrived, dispatching a guard with a note. "[Manson] said he wanted him to come over to his [cell]," Spector's wife, Rachelle, told the New York Post. "He said he considers Philip the greatest producer who ever lived."

So far, Spector has not replied to Manson. He's got plenty of time.

Having recently switched jobs (again), I was reflecting on my past jobs, specifically the first job I ever had. While my friends were mowing lawns, or serving ice cream at Ben & Jerry's, I was working for a commercial painting company, painting dorms at a crumbling University. The job was so far out of my comfort zone there was no way I couldn't take something away from it ... be it good or bad.

I was given the job because the owner of the company was a family friend, and my father insisted I work to pay for my car insurance and gas. And at $7.50/hour, I was making significantly more than my peers.

Many of you will find this video disturbing, and I'm surprised I don't, given my phobia of all things medical. But as someone who has taken an insane amount of pleasure throughout life of squeezing the living hell out of zits, spots and boils, the idea of home lancing a cyst is strangely appealing.
