weScare_lapis_main.jpg

Our friends at ChopShop have done it again, with the weScare T-shirt - the first of a three part series featuring MONSTERS, in a multitude of colors. Yeh, coolness. And as usual, we're going to try to name all 58 of them from the silhouettes.

There's a numbered image after the jump, so fire away in comments.

You can click the image above for an even bigger version if that helps. Some of the details are quite hard to see at this size.

51 is not a Space Invader. That would be on our aliens tee which is the only one we ever did that hasn’t been “gamed” on ybnby.

sorry i was out of the mix today. but there are still many to go!

said chopshop on June 30, 2009 2:29 AM.

whoops… these are still to figure:

4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 21, 25, 30, 34, 40, 44, 49

didn’t make that clear in the last post.

said chopshop on June 30, 2009 2:30 AM.

oh man. second revision. so sloppy… considering the comments since the last was made:

still to figure: 4, 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, 16, 21, 34, 40, 44, 49

30 was referenced non-specific… so it was kind-of figured.

said chopshop on June 30, 2009 2:34 AM.

16 is a Balrog.

said Mike on June 30, 2009 7:47 AM.

If #16 is a Balrog, could #17 be a Nazgul dragon?

21: The Mutant from The Host
44: Hellboy

said Abe on June 30, 2009 9:00 AM.

aye, carumba!

said chopshop on June 30, 2009 11:14 AM.

This seems random since it's not a monster per se, but it #9 Ox the Uglydoll? It seems to cut the same figure. I do love me my uglydolls.

said cloudedviolets on June 30, 2009 4:58 PM.

4. "The Crawling Hand" (60s movie that was on MST3K...?)
9. OX from the Ugly Dolls
13. Dracula from "Van Helsing" (?)
34. Bob Hoskins character in "Brazil" (?)
49. Kali from "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad"

12 is driving me nuts! I can picture the character, but can't remember any context for it.

said Jeem on June 30, 2009 5:09 PM.

still to figure: 7, 12, 13, 34, 40

said chopshop on June 30, 2009 8:16 PM.

07: Though there have been many varieties of this monster over the years, one was ground-breaking in the horror genre.

12: “Good evening… Mr._______, my name is _______ _______”

13: The biggest name in heros flipped.

34: “Do… I… look insane?”

40: This is totally cereal.
