Back in 2006, we featured an amazing stunt by Improv Everywhere, the NY based team that create public pranks. 80 agents, dressed in blue shirts and khaki's invaded a Manhattan Best Buy, and stood around, causing much confusion as regular customers started asking them for help. The internet rejoiced, but Best Buy not so much, who even went as far as to send IE a cease and desist letter when they tried to market a t shirt around the prank.
Well, it seems like Best Buy corporate didn't send the memo to Best Buy's web design team, because - 3 years later - low and behold an image of the IE team, dressed as Best Buy staff appears on the official Best Buy careers site, asking people to join the Blueshirt Nation. I tell you, you can't make this stuff up. See more on the blog of Charlie Todd, founder of Improv Everywhere.
At this point, I'll give a plug to the new Improv Everywhere book, which I read while on vacation last week. Very funny look at the behind-the-scenes of all their greatest pranks.
