His movies may not always make a lot of logical sense (yes, I'm talking about The Day After Tomorrow and all those people running faster than the cold, and beating it by - uh, closing the door). But no-one kicks the shit out the world like Roland Emmerich. The shot of the aircraft carrier crushing the White House is especially (and improbably) cool.

I saw the trailer twice this weekend (only because I went to see Transformers ROTF twice) and both times I was amazed. Agreed, Mr. Roland sir has out-done himself this time!

I don't think I could bear to watch another one of these shitfests. I was intrigued by the film until I found out that it was another Roland vomit piece. You'd think with the kind of money they dump on these pics they could at least find a decent writer or craft some sort of plot.
But there is a plot. "A lot of ppl run around while the Earth is destroyed and then an AIRCRAFT CARRIER HITS THE WHITEHOUSE. AWESOME." Any questions?
