Here's an amazing idea - let's pull over an ambulance while it's on call and driving (with a patient) to the hospital. While we're at it, let's choke the EMT for resisting arrest. For more on this story, check out Oklahoma ABC 8.

I don't see any indication in the story about whether the ambulance had lights flashing. If it did, it would be ridiculous to expect it to move over to allow the police car to pass. Not sure the official pecking order for emergency vehicles, but c'mon.
If the ambulance didn't have lights flashing, then it was reasonable for the police to expect it to move over, and it probably should have ... even though not doing so shouldn't have warranted such a thorough and coordinated response by the police.
I'd like to believe that there is more to the story here, you know how I like to defend our service people. But, even I have to say that this one seems over board. I really hope I'm wrong.
Why does everybody hate cops? Oh, wait.............
Ummm... Regardless of whether the ambulance should have been pulled over or not, the EMT is acting like an idiot. It is simply NEVER a good idea to throw an elbow punch at a highway patrol officer, let alone a gang of them. Even less a good idea when you look like a juicer...
ugh, i would just be shocked if i were the emt, what morons, trying to put an ambulance in its place....
reminds me of: you dont have to be choking to become a victim!
