There is a rich history when it comes to silly "novelty songs." They may be ridiculous, but many have stood the test of time. I'm going to give a few, uh ... "beauties."
We're leading off with "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" by Leonard Nimoy. Simply because I don't think I can top it. Hobbits unite!
More bizarreness after the jump...

More bizarreness after the jump...
"Dirty Ol' Egg Sucking Dog" by Johnny Cash
"Werewolf Bar Mitzvah" by Tracy Jordan/Morgan
"Der Fuehrer's Face" by Spike Jones. Nothing battled Nazism like parody and a Bronx cheer. Fart noises! Take that Goebbels!
"EEP, OPP, ORK AH-AH" by Jet Screamer on The Jetsons
"Disco Duck" by Rick Dees and His Cast of Idiots. I have no idea why people make fun of the 70's. Couldn't we have employed a better puppet maker for this?
"Treat Your Mother Right" by Mr. T. Whoa, don't be bringing anybody's momma into this. Is one of the backup singers Joanie from Happy Days?
"Snoopy vs. The Red Baron" by The Guardsmen
"Pac Man Fever" by Buckner and Garcia. Just bizarre, innit?
And finally...
"My Rifle, My Pony and Me" by Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson. With Walter Brennan on harmonica. This is from Rio Bravo, one of my top 5 favorite films. Watch it.
