Bear with me as I have the intelligence of a lead-based paint fed amoeba. As such, I can't explain what Google Wave is nor how it works, but I can cut and paste from people smarter than me. (From WebMonkey)
Wave is a web-based application that marries multiple forms of communication and collaboration, including chat, mail and wikis, into a unified interface. Everything inside Wave happens in real time: You can even see a comment being made as the person is typing it, character-by-character.If I'm reading this correctly, and there's a very good chance I'm not, Wave will be the be-all end-all for internet interactions. Basically, it's a one-stop shop for all your e-mails, chat, and Wikis. (Probably Twitter and Facebook soon too). So instead of surfing through the various browser tabs you have opened, you can now see everything in one place. What's more, is you can watch responses in real-time.
Aw crap, now I've gone and given myself that brain hemorrhage like Felicity at the beginning of Mission Impossible 3.

With the amount that I self-edit my posts, pause to check spelling, alt-tab into an aim conversation or rehash my wording, points, and tone, I'd really hate to see someone reading my post character by character as I think of it. That's like being able to peer into my disorganized brain. >.>
Very Cool Stuff!
damn impresive, i'm sold. did you notice that the developer has XP on the laptop and not Vista.... i find that funny.
That video is like an hour long or some shit. Google - Anything that takes more than three minutes to say isn't worth saying. This thing's gonna tank.
BTW, if you enter the word 'Google' in Google, you can break the internet.
