Back in 1978, at the height of the Star Wars craze, the original cast got together for a forgettable holiday special.
It involves the cast getting Chewbacca back to his family planet for "Life Day" and other ridiculous stuff. Of course the journey back home is almost stopped the Darth Vadar and the Evil Empire. Fortunately Princess Leia broke into song, twice, and saved the day.

You get to meet Chewbaca's family, his wife Malla and his kid Lumpy. It stars the original cast, plus Art Carney, Harvey Korman and Golden Girl Bee Arthur.
Take a walk down memory lane. Watch the 2 hour special online here.
Thanks Uncle Putts for the link.

Is it bad that I ironically own a bootleg DVD of the Holiday Special?
For any morbid curiosity about how the production got the green light check this: http://www.vanityfair.com/magazine/2008/12/star_wars_special200812
Johnny - who DOESN'T own a copy of that! It's required if you carry a nerd card.
Thank you Jeff. I feel better, pally.

I have a DVD bootleg of it as well, but mine has optional Rifftrax commentary! It actually makes watching this more bearable.
Wow DJ. Mine only has 7,000 old Hasbro toy commercials on it. You have bested me my young Padowan.
