Shea Goodbye
With one final rumble, the last remaining piece of Shea Stadium fell to the ground. While it was never the place of worship it's crosstown brother was, it was still notable for being the venue in which The Beatles' opened their 1965 world tour, being a staging area for rescuers following the 9/11 attacks, and that damn home run apple.

It may not receive the acclaim that the new Yankee's stadium is getting (hello martini bar), but the Mets' new digs is looking pretty spiffy.
