Welcome to the great YBNBY Christmas Giveaway. Every day this week we're unwrapping items in a great prize giveaway. Yesterday we unwrapped The Onion Movie on DVD and now it's time for another.
All you have to do to be entered for the competition is leave a comment on any of the seven stories telling us which was your favorite YBNBY story or feature of the year. On Monday 22nd, I'll pick a winner at random, and contact you for your mailing address, and ship 'em out. I'm afraid we're restricting entries from the 48 contiguous US states only, as shipping this box overseas would just cost an arm and a leg.

Prize Two is something that was very popular when I last gave some away - Akoha Cards. Akoha is the social media 'pay-it-forward' game, that combines online play with offline missions. It's a lot of fun, and I have not one but TWO packs in the gift basket, one for you and one for a friend. These cards are not available to buy in shops, so the only way to get them is beg, steal, borrow, or win one here :)

I've been jonesin' for some Akoha Cards from the first time I heard about them. It was only this week, but still...
Today, looking back at a year of YbNbY, I would have to say my fav post was JW letting us know he was going away for an extended period of time.
Good riddance.
Did anyone ever put up feedback on how that game went for them?
My personal favorite story was the pit of hades and the casting of all the things we highly despise into the pit. I really enjoyed when it was brought back for part deux. ( speaking of which, I hearby cast the word deux into the pit) I really think ya'll should bring the pit back every 3 months. I got alot of pent up frustration out with that post. Good therapy...now send me some free stuff please.
I gotta Go with the Election night Liveblog. It was cool to actually talk to my fellow 77ers in real time.
The I Would List post was stimulating (he he, ack, nevermind). Anyhoo, it was an interesting discussion.

My favorite post of the year was the original Akoha post, because I won a deck.
Also because Akoha is a great idea, and I'm really enjoying it so far.
Today it's a tie between Echo's When the Cat's Away and the Unemployment Journal...
i have to say the just posted article on bj's preventing breast cancer is amusing and will be posted on every fridge for people's wives/girlfriends to see now, haha
Any post by Scaramouch is a favorite..followed closely by any post by Echowood...
But I don't want the prizes..just throwing in my 2 cents..
Second that, E. The I would list has shown us a little more of the personality of the 77ers... And also brought funny results.
I found amusing the discussion started on the Bolo ties post. A joke on the 'diabeetus' pronunciation brought up the wrath of a scout-master-bolo-ties-user, who thought the joke was about the disease, not the mispronunciation.
Uh, and I'm in just to sum up and throw my opinion on the best posts. I don't want Scaramouch to sell a kidney in order to send me the box... hahaha
