While a Junior in High School, I had a history teacher who made a fool out of me in front of the class for not fully understanding a word in our text book. (Scarier still that I majored in English in college). So turned off was I by this guy that I vowed to turn my back on History forever. And much like my vow to not date super-models, I have recanted.

Say what you will, but History is awesome. And much like my obsession with the History Channel's exceptional Cities of the Underworld, I have found something else to fill in the plethora of blank spaces in my head.
