December 15, 2008, South Waterfront neighborhood, Portland, Oregon. Looking from our condo we can see cars attempting, and most failing, to climb up a hill to get out of the neighborhood. I decided to put together a montage of sliding cars. Portland had a recent snowfall and we are expecting more tomorrow.
Might I add kudos for the excellent choice of theme music.

I expected cars to just come down crashing at the bottom.
The funniest part is at 1:40 where one person is trying to go and cant but all that time about 6 other cars go up with no problem at all, I'd be mad as hell.
Dear Americans,
Please purchase snow tires. They grip ice too. Neat-o!
Merry Christmas,
- Your wacky neighbours to the north
This made my day Miss C.
It's been snow turned to rain turned to ice here in NYC over the last few days and I helped push 3 cars get out of their parking spots over the weekend. My aching back feels a bit better now.
Marion. I grew up in northern michigan. you're preaching to the choir here.
It's not all americans, just the ones who can't comprehend Ice coming from anywhere but the hole on the front of their refrigerator.
I'm from Portland and we got hit with a crazy artic blast storm that hasn't been this bad in about 40 years. They were sold out of chains and snow tires all around the Portland Metro area and now we're declaring a State of Emergency. We're not at all used to this kind of weather in the NW... we'd like to have the rain back please. Kudos to those of you who know how to deal with it.
