I remember when this was an acceptable practice though.
when i was 12 my grandfather bought me a bb gun
when i was 14 i got my first .22 rifle
when i was 16 I got a 30-30 Deer rifle.
It was a proud moment for me as a boy and i fondly remember those gifts.
It's a shame that it's so un PC to give a boy a gun for christmas these days.
