Well folks, it's finally time!  It's time for Old Man 2008 to ride the big fat hog of a year out the door and into the sunset.  Fittingly, it's also a time to reflect on all things 2008.  Specifically, those nuggest of joy we have come to know and love know as Caption Competition!

We have had some great ones this year and it was tough to decide which ones to showcase but I figured the best approach was use the ones that my grandma picked got the most comments (granted one made it's way on here due to it's staying power on the Most Popular Stories sidebar).  You'll be treated to such comments as "Hey babe...I've got the Jesus Butt Plug in and I'm ready for action!" (thanks Tim) and many more!  Hurry today!  This offer won't last long!  Damn...now I sound like Billy Mayes or that ShamWow! fruitcake.  Ok..where were we...ahem..as we pontificate what was said, we'll laugh, cry and witness the birth of such memorable people like Dave and Thomas and even new things such as prizes (thanks Scaramouch)!  Ok, enough cuddly crap....onto the pictures!

I think in 2008 we spent more time watching videos than we spent reading on the internet. I did a video countdown for another site already. A little later today, I'll have the results of our end of the year poll on viral videos, but meanwhile, Slate has compiled their picks for the 20 best viral political videos of a wild presidential election year.
