The Obamas on Election Night

A behind-the-scenes Flickr slideshow of the Obama family on election night. I continue to be VERY impressed by the way Obama's team has completely embraced every tool in the social media palette. It's such an amazing feeling to have someone who's going to be in charge of the Country who's so ahead of the curve rather than behind it.

I think it's a great thing.
Around here, the candidates can only have their official websites and the obligatory free propaganda time on TV and radio.

They can't use blogs, orkut, facebook, flickr, twitter and whatever is available on the nets, neither they can make use of SMS. But they can get through to you at 7am on a Saturday with a recorded message that keep your line busy until it ends, no matter if you hang up.

Uh-huh. And all that will end as soon as he takes office. Secret Service is already breaking him of his Blackberry addiction.

Social media is a security nightmare. The guy with the finger on the button doesn't have the luxury of twitter and friendfeed.

Trust me, the social curtain will have to close as of January.

We'll know which one of our commenters is Obama when that happens....

And how do you break someone of their Blackberry addiction?

Show them an iPhone.

Hmm. Good point SO. If it was known how good Obama is at caption competitions that would have got him a few votes I'd bet. Course he might lose a few from the nasty anti-booby, anti bacon, crowd but to hell with them.

Unless of course - *gasp* OBAMA WAS THOMAS?????

This is SOOOO cool! Thanks for posting this, Scara!

Wow... If Obama was Thomas, then I had been teased all this time by a Senator and President to be... Wow, that's great.

SO, Thomas and Palin can't be the same person. Or if that's the case, Palin writes better than she actually talks. Thomas is smarter than her. At least he always came back with his answers on time, never told "I'll look for a joke with Leo's mom and I'll get back to ya later".

said Leonardo Carvalho on November 18, 2008 6:02 AM.

I iz so maverick Leo. Axe ur Mom.

Sincerely, Thomas.

E: Et tu, Brute?

Hahahah... have you read Thomas pooping pants story? Hilarious. Mean, but hilarious...
