Every time someone follows the YBNBY Twitter Feed, I get a notification, and we really appreciate everyone who does. Yesterday, I got notification that we were being followed by Fran Drescher.
Now.... there are lots of fake "celebrities" on Twitter, so I was immediately suspicious, but this looks like the real deal, as Fran has just taken to Twitter to help raise awareness for her charity, Cancer Schmancer.. I also know that sometimes people mass follow feeds to get as many friends as possible. But so far Fran is only following 76 people, so...
Maybe I'm easily impressed but it's cool that a funny lady like that would find us. So, just on the off chance that she's out there and listening, a shout out to Cancer Schmancer, her non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that all women's cancers be diagnosed while in Stage 1, the most curable stage. Both my parents are cancer survivors, so you have the full support of YBNBY.

Then I see the visitor count and reality sets in....only to disappear before I make my next off-handed remark...
any charity that fights cancer is a good one...I've lost more people than I've won back from varieties of the C word, so anything that benefits research and awareness is a good thing...

But hey, I didn't know she's running a non-profit cancer fight charity. That makes me think different about her.
I've lost a grandfather for cancer, and she has got my sympathy on that.
