After years of wondering through the dessert looking for a savior, I finally think I've found one.
Beer Church.
Beer Church was started 10 years ago by some folks who drink beer religiously (my kind of people). They believe that beer lovers are part of one very large and diverse social group by virtue of our shared love of beer. And also that beer lovers want to make the world a better place, one beer at a time. (I concur.)
They do this mostly through drinking and charity events. To date, Beer Church has earned over $40,000 for charity. Local chapters across the USA and around the world (26 countries) help fill the coffers of local charities and food banks with beer-focused events.

One such event is coming up on November 15th. Beer Church Seattle's Turkey Bowl. It's a food drive as well as a fundraiser. Only $25 for a good time and a good cause.
If you live in the area sign up here. You're guaranteed to have a good beer time.
And if you're interested in starting a Beer Church ministry in your neighborhood register at beerchurch.com.

"I have a desire to be Nearer, nearer my God to Thee"
And I plan to do so later tonight, Newcastle style.
E, nice choice of brews.
Baier...what kind of dessert was this? Black forest cake? Ambrosia? German chocolate cake? Dirt*?
*(those in the south should know what that is)
