Manuel Uribe is the world's fattest man. A record he's not happy about.
So a few months ago Neatorama was one of the sites that reported he'd lost 1/2 his weight - 570 pounds from his high 1,257 pounds.
Well today we learned the reason for Manuel's rapid weight lose.
Manuel is getting married!
On October 26th, he will marry his girlfriend, Claudia Solis, in Monterrey, Mexico. They've been engaged for 2 years.
Now I'm sure you're wondering what the wedding plans are. Well the big guy says, "It will be a hefty wedding, on a large scale, but with a low-calorie banquet." He's asked Mexican band called "Pesado," or "Heavy," to provide the music. The couple will still have to arrive to the wedding via Manuel's specially made bed, as that's still the way he must travel.

Normally, I'd have something politically incorrect to say. Turns out, I saw a documentary about him around a year ago and immediately fell in love with his beautiful personality and positive spirit. Best wishes Manuel!

I don't know how old he is, but his weight didn't happen overnight. I would have to suspect some poor parenting contributed greatly to this.
