Yesterday Miss Cellania showed us many pictures of herself in past years at Halloween costumes. Since then, a few of you have sent me pictures of yourselves in costume, and I'll be running a gallery of them next week, so please keep them coming in. In the meantime, here's a few of myself from the last three years. Trick or Treat is not something we ever did in England as I was growing up, so it's only in the last few years as my children have done it that I've taken the opportunity to dress up myself.
It wasn't until I pulled these that I realized I'd dressed as some kind of skeleton for the past three years. This year I'm going to quite unoriginally be The Joker, so maybe I just have a penchant for white pancake makeup
This last one is the scariest of all - I think this was the year we both said "I'm not going to bother" and then at the last moment tried to pull something together out of the makeup drawer. We both wore costumes from the previous year, but I think I'd lost the mask so I improvised. Some kind of weird S&M version of Uncle Fester. I think this was the year the neighbors stopped talking to me.

I have all my kids in costume too, but didn't want to post them and turn YesButNoButYes into Martha Stewart (a particular risk as we both hail from Nutley, NJ)
No risk....her bacon would be from the pig she just slaughtered last week after wringing its neck herself...a little trick she learned in prison...
I wouldn't post my kids pics...there are too many scary folks out there...
