Oh no, kbk. Your student loan will never be lost no matter what. You need to have several million at stake before they start looking the other way. They will search the world over for your 20k my friend. You have morals and responsibility. You along with probably most of the L77 are what they goverment count on to pay bills.
If you want out of your 20k you need to do something remarkable and get filthy rich quick. Then they won't worry about your millions.
