As I set up the new writers, my mind turned back to past authors, especially Homeless Frank and Johnny Chicago.

Newer readers may not remember Frank, but for awhile, Frank gave us street=level insight into contemporary issues, and I miss what his take would have been on Obama-McCain. You can read all Frank's past pieces here. My favorites were Bald Britney and The Boston Bomb Scare .

Johnny Chicago was our first serial commenter, kind of a Ying to current commenter Dave's Yang. His comments are scattered across multiple posts, but I once compiled the best snippets in a story.
