Man Attempts to Smash Coconuts
This poor guy was on live television (I don't know where) to attempt to break the world record in breaking coconuts. With his bare hands!

Let's see how he does.

Well, he almost got one.

As impressive as that wasn't, kudos to him for continuing after breaking his hand. Twice. And probably a third time.

Your hand should not fear the coconut, the cocunut should fear your hand.

Damn i should be on TV. I Have been Unable to break coconuts with my hand for nearly 30 years.

Three funniest comments of the day in a row. Zingers all.

As for me, I think the problem is where he's hitting it. It's a simple question of weight ratios. A five ounce hand could not break a one pound coconut. In order to maintain air-speed velocity to break said coconut, a man would need to karate chop forty-three times every second, right?

Am I right? :)

Excellent invocation of the Holy Grail.

But what if it's an african coconut?

I'd say an even bigger problem with his record attempt is 3 of his 9 swings actually connected with a coconut. He was closer to breaking the rack than a coconut.

So, assuming he continues to hit one for every three swings, you're looking at about 129 swings a second. Which would be cool in its own right.

He failed at the world record, but I think he got to 5th base with that last coconut.

Live. On television.

So. He's got that.

They're speaking Danish and that's Radhusplatzen right in the Centre of Copenhagen. It must be early though, hardly anybody about.

On this evidence he's either never tried to break one before this or he turned up without his spectacles. How embarrassing.

Good eye Nigel.

So, for those of you keeping score at home, the idiot that didn't break one coconut and just hit a wooden plank half a dozen times was on the telly in Copenhagen.

Noted.

I thought for sure he was gona get that one he double-clutched on.

After watching that again, i just noticed something. That must have really hurt because he didn't do his follow up attempt at breaking the world record for consecutive kicks to the groin. Looks like "Iron nuts McGee" 's record of 37 is still safe.
