Palin-bashing seems like shooting fish in a barrel. Sexist? Hell, no... if anyone is sexist, it's the decision makers in the McCain campaign who are using her for her looks, her sex, and her appeal to fundamentalist Christians. They are the ones setting back feminism by throwing her into the cauldron of national politics when she is clearly unqualified. When all the dust clears, there will be way too many who decide that women do not belong in politics because THIS woman doesn't belong in national politics. And that's sad.

I hardly think someone put a gun to her head and made her accept the offer to run for V.P.. I think it's awful short sighted of you to think someone is forcing her to do this.
The object of running for any office is to win isn't it? So how can you be critical of how they go about it? They made their choice so now you get to make yours. If you don't like what they did, vote for the other side.
I totally disagree with you that it's gona set back anything for women.

She didn't have to accept it, but that's like a poor person turning down a lottery prize because he knows he can't handle money. Not gonna happen. People are placing bets on when Palin will be booted from the campaign.
I hope people can look at it from her side is all. I admire the balls it took to accept the challenge. I don't agree with some of the things she stands for but i think she will only help the cause for women in politics. I feel the same for Obama. I don't agree with things he stands for but i admire him for running and what he will do to further the black culture and in politics.
She's a great governor in alaska from what i've read. But in a forum where she needs to speak and answer questions and interact with foreign heads of state Sans-Teleprompter, she seems like she's in over her head.
Personally, I can't see anything she has said that strikes me as more out of touch than 'the fundamentals of our economy are sound' or what ever Imhotep said.

First, I really hope she doesn't have balls, but beyond that, it sure appears from what she has said in her very limited interviews that she didn't hesitate one second to accept. I think she's been power hungry since her first PTA meeting, and that worries me as much as all her other issues.
So how does Biden get the free pass? His soundbites over the last 20 years makes Palin actually sound educated. You can hate the last 8 years all you want, but these idiots are seriously about to steal Bush's thunder. There's the idiot older than dirt and the idiot American Idol contestant, neither one should even be a consideration for the office.
