Oh, what a lovely sand castle! It took 16 days to create, and less than a minute for a reporter to fall on it. The creator doesn't seem happy. Anyone want to translate the high points?

The best part is the sand castle architect is wearing a Proton Pack and a Speedo. A rare gem in the cannon of attire.
I'm going to watch it when I'm home... but I saw it happening live...
When I lived in Copacabana, there were lots of sand sculptures on the beach. One guy worked for almost 20 days to finish a set of the Rio's postcards sculpted in sand, and a 15 years old boy who couldn't control his pit bull took 1 minute to screw all the work. The guy called the cops to put an end to the mess...
The kids parents paid a fine for leaving such dog with a kid (prohibited) and without leashes and mouth protection (worse than the first).
And they had to pay $2500 for the artist as a refund for his dumped work, based on how much he would earn with the tourists' pics cash.
The pack in his back is a water container with a pressure pumper, with that he can keep spraying water on the sculpture and mantain the moisture of the sand.
At least, if it's the same back pack the guys here use. I need to watch the video first...
Leo I know you are a smart chap and live near where this happened, but I'm pretty sure that's a Proton Pack. Lot's of ghosts and specters on Brazilian beaches.
That's what I read.
Yep. You maybe right... That would explain how tourists' cameras, purses and jewels vanish leaving no trace...
I'm pretty sure you're right.
Can you believe she was wearing those shoes with that dress? She must be new to beach reporting.
Here's a translation (more or less, kinda) for Miss C (you asked so nicely) :)
The reporter is explaining the amount of detail that went into the castle, that inside the little windows it has some lights for nighttime, also a little door with a child... something because that's when she fell.
Then people from the studio are laughing and saying that for all his 16 days worth she just destroyed it.
The builder says taht no problem, it's only sand, nothing he can't repair. But then it gets funny because he also says that he will have another 2 days work and he asks her to move over there.
The people from the studio say that they will give some money or offer some help, but then about the money they say that only if the budget for paying him is approved.
It's pretty funny. Then the people on the set continue to talk about the incident, if the shoes were somehow involved or just what she was using to point out the detail of the upper parts.
Thanks, alice! I'm ashamed to say I'm disappointed there were no death threats or tantrums.
I would disembowel here with the little trowel.
The really annoying thing is that she keeps saying how sorry she is and that she wants to help in the reconstruction.
If I was the guy I'd use her head as a ram to put the whole castle down...
Or better, I'd lift her up, Hulk Hogan style, and toss her in the castle as many times as I needed to put the whole thing down.
Why the fuck she had to go up on that box to show the tiny little details in the sand castle, if she could simply have pointed and the cameraman would perform a zoom at the details.
just to clarify, that's not Brazil.
they're speaking Spanish.
the guy was only cool about it because he was on TV, i would like to see what happened after they cut off. lol
aldo89: when I said "I saw it happening live" I meant, "I saw this kind of thing happening live"... have you read what I wrote after this phrase??
she was saying how sorry she was and he was replyin "no pasa nada" which translated to english is basically its ok.. don't worry bout it..
