Sometimes you just see a video that makes you go "errr... wtf?" Not since the legendary Parwana have I been so entranced as I am with the Christian-Ska sounds of Sonseed. It's like the bizarre lovechild of The Osmonds and The Specials.

Scar,
I don't know about you, but, I kept waiting for Barney to jump out.
It just seem like a purple dinosaur song!

That is totally Ska and the Jesus angle could have worked too. These guys needed different suits, b/w photography, you know, a little game in their production. 'Jah is mi bud' maybe?
Thanks for the double time warp. The carpet was 1974 and 2nd wave 'SKA' was like half the scene back in the mid 90's, at least in this side of Babylon. Think Save Ferris, Operation Ivy, No Doubt.
Gimme the Specials. Good stuff. Check out Fun Boy Three's version of Our Lips Are Sealed, not Ska per se but excellent. GoGos ruled also. That, that my friends, was music.
The lead guy sings like Dr. Evil
Whitest. Reggae. Ever.
"He taught me how to praise my God and still play rock and roll." Wow.
Wow, E - that takes me back. I once saw Fun Boy Three live in concert at the now closed Hammersmith Palais.
You were the White Man at Hammersmith Palais? That is fantastic.
Is that Howard Hessman on bass?
Yes, Terry Hall kept waving to me with a "WTF are we doing here?" look on his face. We were just hoping Bananaram would turn up so we could cop off with them.
"He taught me to turn the other cheek when people laugh at me..." I bet this guys head is spinning in circles then.
This is one the greatest pieces of video I've ever seen in my life. You nailed it with "bizarre lovechild of The Osmonds and The Specials." Gotta love it any time a Steinberger bass is whipped out, too.
I truly loved the touch of "Oingo Boingo" in the rythm. Wishing i had a shiny silver dollar on either eye, after watching that. Jesus is my friend also you assholes, you can't just claim him for yourselves.
