From the streets of St. Paul

This week the RNC almost got socked by Gustav, but they rebounded to use the time they had left to hit back hard.
And after digesting a slew of red meat, John McCain and Sarah Palin finally made their case for votes.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes and on the streets, the supporters held their signs, partied it up and chanted "USA, USA" as often as possible.

Here are some photos I found that made this balloonfest a little more interesting.

I don't have to tell you that it was much harder to find curious, odd, non-protest stuff with the GOP. But if you look hard enough and try a lot of crazy search terms, you can find RNC funny.

That's a frickin multi picture caption competition!!! wooo-hoooo!!! LOL...

But seriously, it's strange to see until where people go with their political beliefs... Those ladies dressed as a crossbreed between Madonna and Cindi Lauper were super!

And, I could see that Don'tSwayzeBro's brother was there. Instead of a poster with his name, shouldn't he be sporting a GOP's or McCain's poster?

Those are great. I wish I knew how the funny hats became such a feature at the conventions.

People wear funny hats in two places. Disney theme parks and political conventions.

What does the riot police bike squad do when there is a riot? Shield themselves behind their bikes?
