Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

cancer06_318f90cff8_b.jpg

I've been shedding a few tears this afternoon over some photos over at The Big Picture in observation of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

If you hadn't seen it before, The Big Picture is an amazing idea created by The Boston Globe, a regular photoblog that curates some stunning sets of photographs from the wire, and features them at huge size. A simple and powerful idea. And today's images of the brave children fighting their battle against cancer (including some who have since passed away) really moved me.

The objective of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is to spotlight childhood cancer and survivorship issues related to childhood cancer nationally. Donations can be made here via credit card.
Now, go home and spend the weekend with people you love :)
