I think this was the most lopsided victory in the history of hockey.

Yesterday in Winter Olympics qualifying, Slovakia trounced, murdered and destroyed Bulgaria 82-0.
Eighty-two goals to zero.
Sadly, that's not a typo.
Here's some fascinating stats from this games:
Slovakia scored every 43.9 seconds.
They led, 19-0, after 10 minutes.
31-0 after the first period.
Fourteen players scored and 12 had hat tricks.
Meanwhile Bulgarian goalie Lyubomira Shosheva, gave up 77 goals while her 16 year old backup Kameliya Drazheva, gave up five goals - in 1 minute 25 seconds.
Must have been their first time between the pipes. Either that or they drew the short straws. Why the refs didn't call the game is beyond me.

That's pretty cool. I remember Lisa Leslie embarrassing South Torrance High school in a similar fashion back in high school.

They usually come in the top 8 of the world championships. With their B team, as all their players are contractually obliged to stay in North America for NHL games.

Justin, good pick up. I wasn't surprised to find out not many photos are available of a team that sucks as bad as Bulgaria. So I put in a substitute.
It was womens qualifying. There's youtube videos up of it. I figured it had to be some kind of protest where the bulgarians just plain didn't play, but nope ... by the looks of it, the slovaks could have doubled that tally if they'd tried.
