Hans Lange was using one of those flying suits to BASE jump down a mountain in Norway. The plan was to open a parachute before hitting bottom, but it didn't work. No, he didn't die, but he had to be airlifted from the mountain. BBC News has the video from his helmet camera, which recorded the entire journey.
"What a very sensible thing to have been doing..."

Darwin failed to prove his theory on this attempt, but I'm pretty sure that Hans Lange will give him another chance...
5 seconds from hitting the ground, Hans thought that it was a bad idea to ask his angry wife to fold and pack his parachutes.
Damn! Great view coming down though.
Hans lange: I Can Fly!!! Look At Me!!!
Physics and Gravity : No You Can't, don't be ridiculous...

Maybe, Hans Lange , should re-think his plan!
The only reason BASE jumping exists is because people hate cliches. So let this be a lesson, no longer ask, "if you friends jumped off a [ insert structure], would you?"
Smoking's more dangerous than BASE jumping.
