Shawn Johnson finished second in the individual all-around last night to a quite amazing performance by fellow American Nastia Liukin. It's been a good Olympics for the 16-year-old phenom and marketers dream. When Shawn returns home to Iowa, she'll receive the biggest tribute an athlete can get. A butter sculpture in the Iowa State Fair.
The butter sculpture, which apparently is an ancient Buddhist tradition, is a fixture at the Iowa fair. Shawn will join the ranks of previous butter honorees the famous cow, Harry Potter, Tiger Woods, Garth Brooks, John Wayne, Elvis Presley, and Leonardo Da Vinci's "Last Supper" which -- I kid you not -- had butter on the table, made of butter.
So far no word if the city of Baltimore is planning any kind of butter related tribute to Michael Phelps.

In Wisconsin, they were going to do a likeness of a Chinese gymnast out of cheese, but it wasn't aged.
Boo yeah!
I here the corner boys from Marlo's crew over in West Baltimore are planning to take Phelps over to the docks and see if he can dodge bullets.
Phelps would just have to go down about 13 inches and the bullets wouldn't have enough force to hit him. that another one from The Mythbusters.
