Mustache funny

Family Guy, always good for a laugh. And this one involves what Peter believes he can do since he's grown a 'stache.

it's too bad YBNBY features more and more video that can't be streamed outside the US.

It'd be cool if you said so on the RSS, so the rest of us wouldn't try to click through..

Perhaps it's time to go to 2 rss feeds? A "US-only", and a "rest-of-the-planet" feed?

Sorry Bob, I think this problem only exists with Hulu. But we'll see what we can do about that in the future.

motherfucking shit, that sucks donkey balls! i think that player is one of the best you can find, it should work all over.

perhaps you noticed i just did my part to raise the cuss-o-meter.

said etantao on August 5, 2008 10:54 AM.

Yeah Etantao, the great thing about hulu is you can embed parts of video, and just pick what you want to show. The bad thing - it can't be seen outside the US.
Fucking hulu.

said Baierman on August 5, 2008 11:06 AM.

@Bob I hear you, although it's hard to tell what can and can't be seen from inside the US. I know for a fact that with Hulu it's a setting on each individual video, set by NBC. So SOME of those videos can be seen outside the US, some can't. But we don't know which.

Either way, it's a crazy attempt by an old-school broadcaster to maintain regional distribution via a global platform that must be doomed to failure in the long run.

As for separate RSS feeds, well, it's a nice idea, but then we'd have to offer foreign language versions, safe for work versions, etc. Even though we appreciate the 30% of you not based in the US, I think you'll have to accept that YBNBY is going to bring you a US perspective for the large part. Even if it's run by an amazingly British bloke like myself :)

Gotta love the Family Guy! Who else could get Ricardo Montebalm to play a cow.

said Bigus Dickus on August 5, 2008 3:11 PM.

Or Adam West to play Adam West.

Hulu sucks. You know this interweb thingy actaully crosses the US border. stop posting with Hulu!

said dangermandownunder on August 5, 2008 4:36 PM.

Um...no. Thanks for the comment though DMDU.

said Baierman on August 5, 2008 8:56 PM.

@Scaramouch - I appreciate the fact that it's NBC trying to hold onto it's last grasp of control, and I know it's not YBNBY's fault, but I gotta admire the balls it take to say to 30% of your readers "Tough shit - that's how it goes..."

I'm still a subscriber, because I do enjoy this blog, but to knowingly flip the bird at a 3rd of your audience is an interesting approach. Good luck with that.

So, just to clarify, I'm the one who hates America, and also loathes the rest of the world. Got it.

said Scaramouch on August 6, 2008 9:01 AM.

@Scaramouch :)

said Bob Goyetche on August 6, 2008 9:55 AM.

Scaramouch is having quite a summer. First he pissed off the USA, now Europe.

Better get the kids together and snap another cute photo of them waving the EU flag. Just don't post it on Hulu.

said Baierman on August 6, 2008 10:14 AM.

Screw you Bob Goyetche. We live in America, we don't give a damn about you, the 1/3 that can't open videos.
Scaramouch is a British import but has adapted American values. The beauty of America is the fact that we don't value your foreign problems.
USA!
USA!
USA!
USA!

Just kidding Bob, saying "Screw you Bob Goyetche!" Just rolls off the tounge and I wanted to use it. No hard feelings?

said Dave on August 6, 2008 10:17 AM.

@dave - none at all - but If you think you're the first to realize how well that rolls off the tongue, I'd like you to meet some ex-girlfriends and employees :)

said Bob Goyetche on August 6, 2008 10:21 AM.

I may be able to handle a British flag in the hands of the Scaramouch children but if I see a French flag forced into the hands of the innocent, I'm really fricken out of here.

Screw you Bob Goyetche! (again I didn't mean it)

Seriously, if you haven't said " Screw you Bob Goyetche!" out loud, try it. There is something magical about the phrase. I can't stop. I just walked into the dudes office next door and belted it out, now he's saying it.
Sorry Bob, the phrase carries like a drug.
Damn, how am I going to get any work done today.

said Dave on August 6, 2008 10:33 AM.

Bob, wanna get married, I like the sound of Jennifer Goyetche. Are you Deutsche?

Dave, I don't like you, or maybe I do, you added yet another saying to my lexicon of annoying sayings.

How about Bob Goyetch is a douchebag Deutche?
