So Barack waited until 3am Saturday morning to announce Joe Biden would be his running mate. My guess is this odd hour was chosen because that's what time Biden wakes up to drain his old guy bladder.
McCain's campaign was quick to launch an attack ad 1 hour later, again probably because McCain is also up at that hour draining his old guy bladder.
Anyway, the new guy picked an old guy and blah, blah, blah....I'm not going to get into the pros and cons of this choice cause the fucking networks couldn't stop talking about it.
However, since YBNBY is a pop culture blog, I thought we could all have some fun deciding what to nickname this new ticket.
The NY Post had JoeBama on the front cover today. But I prefer O'Biden. And I heard some pundit mention the McCartney & Wonder classic Ebony & Ivory as an option. (They will live in perfect harmony dammit!)

Joe Biden actually goes to my church. I see him in the grocery store on occation.
Its kinda weird that he is a VP candidate.
Then again.. its kinda weird that people actually KNOW where Delaware IS now. I constantly get "Oh, your from Delaware, .... what state is that in?". As if being the first ratified state and the second smallest state wasn't enough to remember Delaware as some random triva fact. Let alone know that DE is a STATE, and not a city. (I'm looking at you Ohio).
It hit me the other day in the car, if Obama wins, they are going to start re-naming things in my town. The next public school that is built will probably be Joe Biden Elementary. Strange beyond belief. Yet exciting too.
I an think of 2 other nationally famous (contemporary) people from DE. Both are actors. Elizabeth Shue, and Ryan Phillippe. Most only know the latter. I'm kinda happy that Biden can be added to that short list.
I dont care what they nick name the team, (i personally like JoeBama) I'm just happy my small little state is finally getting some recognition.
