People are moved by their experiences, be they emotionally or spiritually, in different ways. They tend to congregate with other like-minded folks. This will only intensify the experience. I partake in neither, but in witnessing them I find I can't judge them either. I just accept them as a culture different than mine and move on.

Yeah, seems "different" to me, but clapping along/air guitar/drumming etc may seem "different" to someone else...and yeah, there's probably a fatwa prohibiting that as well...
