I think I speak for the entire writing staff at
YesButNoButYes, when I say that we wish Morgan Freeman a speedy recovery from his
accident. Try imagining The
Shawshank Redemption or
Million Dollar Baby without him, and you'll see how important he is to Hollywood. And while I was saddened by the news of his crash, I was also curious. Mostly about this line from a
WMC-TV article:
Freeman overcorrected, flipping his 1997 Nissan Maxima several times before coming to a rest.
You're telling me that a man who has played
God, who has been in more (good) movies than I can count, is driving a car that the pizza delivery guys in my hometown drive? I always picture Morgan as driving some sleek and sophisticated Rolls, not something that's more than likely held-up with duct-tape.
Nissan Maxima?!?!! Wow, just when I thought that I couldn't respect him more ...
Get well soon, Morg! You're one of our best.
Fear not, Echowood; the car was not his! Why risk flipping your Rolls when you know you'll be driving your friends ten year-old Nissan? Freeman knows what's up!
the article said the car wasnt his. hope he recovers nicely cause he is one of the best around.
Get well Morgan!!!
Yes, it appears he was Driving Miss Demaris.
Ha! Well, not matter what, he's MORGAN DAMN FREEMAN! He should be able to snap his fingers and a series of elves will jump out of his pocket and build him a damn Ferrari to drive. Red shouldn't have to be behind the wheel of an 11 year-old car.
I don't know about you, but if I was a black man in rural Tennessee, I wouldn't drive anything that's going to get me noticed. I imagine the last thing you'd want is some racist redneck still smarting from the Civil War seeing you (a wealthy, successful, well-respected black man, like many of you are) driving a car worth 6 of his pick-ups.
Oh, come on, that's just bigoted. We rednecks don't own 6 pick-ups.
We can't afford that many.
Well, no I suppose not. Or atleast not 6 whole pick-ups. But with all the money you save on outdoor plumbing, you can get one made from many. E Pluribus Unum.
ah damn... just not fair....
oh well
RIP, Morgan Freeman, i guess it wasnt heaven enough without ya....
sigh
Freeman: "i'm not dead yet, I think i'll go for a walk later"
NotJohnDoes: "Shuttup, you're not fooling anyone"
Hay, notjohndoe2, Freedman didn't die, he was just in a bad car wreck. As far as I heard, he'll survive, but in what condition is anyone's guess.
