No? You didn't hear about it? No biggie, it hasn't heard about itself either.

By "Cuil" do they want to mean 'cool'?

If so, there's it's downfall.

Well, we'll see. I wouldn't have thought google was going to be all that back in the day either. I did get some interesting results when I looked for 'porn' though (really, the first hurdle you need to clear).

Yes, "cuil" as in "cool."

It's like if IKEA got into search engines.

I don't like Cuil.

I don't like the layout of the search results, nor the layout those results are presented in. When I typed in "Wheat Bran" I got 2 results from elook.com, 2 from freelyricpark.com, 1 from wikipedia. The top result had to do with a news item related to the subject. There were also a lot of links related to breakfast cereal companies.

Google's top result took me straight to the wikipedia page related to the subject. Google shows everything in nice compact lines. I prefer that, probably because I'm used to it.

Also, I hate the name. I really hate the name. Very much.

According to their info page, 'Cuil' is an old Irish word for knowledge.

I thought they were trying to mess around like 'kewl'. The old Irish word sounds better for sure.
