"Mamma Mia!" *** (out of four): The innocent exuberance of ABBA's music carries the cast and the audience away, like a night of drunken karaoke. It's all in good fun -- embarrassing, silly, joyous, unrestrained fun.
At some point in "Mamma Mia!", one has to decide either to just "go along with it" or to run screaming for the exit. That point is most likely when Pierce Brosnan begins to sing the ABBA hit "S.O.S.".

Yes, I'm man enough to admit I LIKE ABBA. And yes, I'm looking forward to our plans to go see Mama Mia on Saturday night. The only problem is my wife told me she won't allow me to sing along with the sound track.
I'm a big ABBA fan too. I'm not sure about this flick though. They get some big drama actors in this. Hope it's not Sophie's Choice meets Grease or something. (not that there's anything wrong with that..)
